Equity Bank Announces its Second Retail Branch Banking Location
Today, Equity Bank announced the opening of its second retail branch banking location. Equity Bank is planning to open a second retail branch located at 3500 Maple Avenue in Dallas, Texas. “The new branch location will give our customers another choice in location for accessing the bank’s retail operations. New and existing customers can expect the same exceptional level of personalized services from this new location as we have provided to our existing customers from the original branch located at 5220 Spring Valley Road in Dallas,” according to branch manager Karen Westfall.
“We wanted to provide additional convenience and access to our retail operations for those customers located south of Interstate 635 over our existing single point of presence in the Dallas marketplace.
Equity Bank plans to open the new branch location sometime during mid February of this year”, said bank Executive Vice President of Operations and CFO, Jeffrey Crawford.

Equity Bank’s Holding Company, EJ Financial Corporation, Closes Round of Capital Stock Offering with Stephens, Inc.
EJ Financial Corporation has completed its 2nd round of capital financing, increasing its outstanding shares from 3,200,000 to 4,769,000. The investment banking firm Stephens, Inc. of Little Rock, Arkansas sponsored the offering. The gross amount of the offering before redemptions exercised with existing minority shareholders totaled $19.0 Million. The proceeds from the offering are to be utilized by EJ Financial Corp. to increase the capital surplus of Equity Bank.
Mr. Edward Sedacca, Chairman of Equity Bank, reported that the additional capital injection from the bank’s holding company will allow the Equity Bank to continue its steady growth in its loan portfolio and managed assets for some time to come and will provide additional stability and safety in its customer deposits.
